Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas

A replica of Munich’s Hofbräuhaus, opened in January 2004 after two years of licensing talks, at Paradise Road and Harmon Avenue across from Virgin Hotels. All the beer is shipped from the Hofbräu brewery in Munich, a Bavarian band plays nightly, and Oktoberfest here runs about seven weeks, from mid-September to Halloween.

Beer hall of about 400 seats at long communal tables under a hand-painted ceiling, with a live Bavarian band nightly plus stein-holding contests and shot-paddle spankings; indoor, air-conditioned Biergarten for about 430 under a painted sky with chestnut trees and a fountain; front bar; outdoor patio; free valet; reservations recommended

Full Bavarian kitchen: giant pretzels (imported from Germany) with Obatzda cheese spread, sausage plates and Munich white sausages, hunter-style schnitzel with spätzle, pork roast with dumplings, pork shank on Fridays and Saturdays; Black Forest cake and apple strudel; kids menu
